ISLAND OF CAPRERA, FAMOUS FOR ITS HISTORY AND BEAUTY

CAPRERA: Garibaldi Island, after La Maddalena, is the second largest island in the Park but it is the first for the beauty of its coast and beaches and for the particularity of the vegetation: pine forests, holm oak woods, junipers and a thick Mediterranean scrub with intense aromas of myrtle, mastic and strawberry tree.

MIX OF HISTORY, NATURE AND SAIL

In the Gulf of Porto Palma, there is the famous Centro Velico Caprera, the prestigious sailing school now known all over the world.
Enchanting in the north-east side, where the cliff falls into the sea and the coast has inlets and coves of spectacular beauty including the famous Cala Coticcio.

The island of Caprera owes its fame to Giuseppe Garibaldi, who immediately loved this island and chose him as his home until the end of his days. Today it is one with La Maddalena due to the long bridge over the Passo della Moneta, from which you can admire an enchanting panorama.
An island of memory, of nature, of the sea, whose waters bathe the rocks with soft lines of granite worked by the wind and the numerous beaches of Cala Serena, Cala Napoletana, Cala Andreani, Cala Brigantina.
